Types of solar power plants

Island power plants

Island power plants are the right solution when we want to have an independent source of electric energy and we do not have the option to plug into the electrical grid. A typical example of this kind of usage is a mountain cabin or a holiday home. We usually use smaller power plants (up to a few kW), which cover the electric needs of the object, where they are installed.

These are the key components of an island solar power plant:

    • photo voltage modules,

    • supporting construction,
    • direct electrical circuit with protection,
    • battery charging regulator,
    • batteries,
    • 230 VAC converter
    • alternating electrical circuit.

Grid solar power plants

The essence of grid power plants is that we sell the electric energy, created from the solar energy, into the electrical grid.

As the name itself says, solar power plants are plugged into the electro-distributional grid and they emit the generated electric energy into it.

These are the key components of a grid solar power plant:

    • photo voltage modules,
    • supporting construction,
    • direct electrical circuit with protection
    • converter
    • alternating electrical circuit
    • electricity meter
    • control system
    • public power grid connection
    • lighting conductor
